The Tanager Vineyard is located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Covering 6.5 acres, these vines were planted in 2009. This vineyard sits at an elevation of 350-400 FT with a west inclination on Willakenzie soils.

A five-day cold soak took place in small, one-ton fermentation batches of this premium Pinot Noir. Selected yeasts were used and extended aging took place in French oak barrels for 10 months. Fined and filtered at the winery prior to bottling.

Floral and spice focused. Fresh and bright red fruit- red plum and cranberry mingle with notes and cinnamon, tobacco, and turned earth.

The artwork on the label depicts an American Kestrel which is used in KWN’s falconry program for vineyard pest control.
