A family winery established in 1952 by Roger Sabon, the estate comprises an 18-ha vineyard on the eastern bank of the Rhône River in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation scattered on 14 different plots. Sourced from some of the estate’s oldest vines planted on red clay soils covered with a layer of galets in La Crau, Cabrières, and Le Grand Pierre, Prestige is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Counoise, Vaccarèse, Muscardin, and Terret Noir.

Handpicking and entirely destemmed after harvest. Fermentation temperatures were regulated around 28-30°C. Around one-month-tank maceration of berries with long and regular extraction of colors and tannins, along with 18 months of aging in large oak casks of 40 hl and 25 hl size resulted in a bright ruby garnet-colored wine that offers a rich and elegant nose with cooked red berries, toast, sweet spices and black olive. The mouthfeel is rich and harmonious assorted with ample tannins bringing power, strength, and a wine with great aging potential.
